Throw Away Dogs Project
This nationwide project rescues shelter dogs, rehabilitates them and trains them to be K9 officers, military K9 or service dogs. A fundraising walk took place in October to raise money for the purchase of a new K9 officer for the Alpharetta police trained by Throw Away Dogs Project. PFLAG Johns Creek
PFLAG offers support and education to local LGBTQ+ people and their families with an active teen program and support meetings for LGBTQ+ teens and social events for teens and tweens. Volunteer to be chaperone for teen or tween socials, provide refreshments for family picnics
Senior Services North Fulton
Senior Services runs four senior centers and other healthy living projects. Volunteer with Pantry To You, where volunteers deliver essential grocery items to home-bound seniors on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. be a Friendly Visitor Volunteer, paired with older adults in need of companionship once or twice a month for an hour or two, sharing talent and time as an office assistant, lunch support, lead exercise, art and special interest classes.
