On Thursday, September 13, Alpharetta’s mixed-use community Avalon will roll out the blue carpet for its fourth annual Noon to Night Fall Fashion Show benefitting Bert’s Big Adventure, a nonprofit organization that provides an all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families.
The exclusive event, which showcases the latest seasonal styles from Avalon retailers, gives children from Bert’s Big Adventure a chance to trade in their hospital gowns for a day of glamour and a one-of-a-kind experience strutting the catwalk alongside some of Atlanta’s local celebrities. Before the show goes live, Bert’s models will spend the day being pampered with hair and make-up sessions from Avalon’s collection of beauty stylists, enjoying live entertainment and more.
Throughout the evening, The Boulevard will be illuminated with smiles and happiness radiating from everyone involved in transforming the lives of these special children. From 6 to 10 p.m., the North Fulton community is invited to share in the delight of the evening which will feature a cocktail reception offering fare from Avalon’s chef-driven eateries, a “Raise the Paddle” auction, the big fashion show and a live DJ after party.
In addition to the Walt Disney World® excursions, Bert’s Big Adventure also provides year-round support, creating a community of families that establishes long-lasting friendships with others facing similar challenges. Since launching the Noon to Night Fall Fashion Show, Avalon has raised more than $150,000 for Bert’s Big Adventure.
Noon to Night general admission tickets are available for $50 and VIP tickets are offered at $150. All proceeds benefit Bert’s Big Adventure. Experienceavalon.com.
