Prostate Screening at Northside

Northside Hospital Cancer Institute is offering a community screening to determine men’s risk for developing prostate cancer on Thursday, August 23, 5:30-8 p.m. at Northside/Alpharetta Medical Campus, 3400 Old Milton Parkway, Building A, Suite 130. Eligibility: men, ages 45-75 with no prior diagnosis of prostate cancer, no prostate exam within the past year. Screenings are administered by health care professionals and consist of a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test. A nurse navigator is available to help arrange follow-up care, if indicated. Originally from Jamestown, NY,  she is a graduate from the Medical College of Georgia and has worked in the dental field for 20 years, practicing in Alpharetta for 15 years.  She lives in Johns Creek with her husband David and son Landon.   She is a cross country runner, loves to draw and enjoys being a mom. Pam Rice has been in the dental field for 15 years.  She has worked in the Duluth/Johns Creek area for 17 years.  She is a 20 year resident of Duluth where she lives with her husband of 27 years.  They have 3 grown children and one grandchild.  They love spending time with family and friends and enjoys going to the beach every chance they can.

National Merit Scholars Honored

 The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced that 16 recent Fulton County graduates have been named National Merit Scholars of the 3,500 winners nationally. In addition to the prestigious National Merit Scholar distinction, these 2018 seniors earned National Merit scholarships from participating colleges and universities. These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship. Northside Hospital health system CEO Robert Quattrocchi has been named a winner of the sixth annual Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award, ranking no. 32 on the list of 100 top CEOs in the United States. Mr. Quattrocchi was one of only two Georgia-based CEOs named in the rankings, which are calculated from Glassdoor’s employee reviews of more than 700,000 companies around the world. He also was among more than a dozen health care CEOs named in the top 100, which included the leaders of MD Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest job and recruiting sites, released its annual report recently.
