Best Vacay Ever! 4

Jamail Larkins, President, Ascension Air

My most memorable vacation probably has to be to Costa Rica for my 30th birthday. Myself and seven friends went on a five-day excursion filled with deep sea fishing, white water rafting, zip lining, and partying! One of the best trips of my life.

Vesta Lugg, From Chile to Brookhaven

Vesta has relocated to Brookhaven to break into the American entertainment industry. She is best-known in Latin America for her starring role on “Bakan” or BKN, the longest running teen television show in Chile, often compared to Beverly Hills 90210. Her new single, Turn off the Lights, is available on iTunes and Spotify. “My best friend and I decided to hit the streets of Paris and its Fashion Week. Being fashion lovers, it was a dream come true to take the time to see the city and enjoy the epicenter of this art at its fullest. At one show we were seated beside Christian Louboutin himself, chatted to Vivianne Westwood backstage about her newest collection and had a glass of some of the best champagne with some of fashion’s most influential editors. Not only was it an incredible and inspiring trip, it was my first time in Europe, and that made it all the more special.”

Kimberley Kennedy, Emmy Award-Winning Journalist and Producer

“Without a doubt the most memorable trip I have ever taken was to Israel and the Holy Land with my church, Peachtree Presbyterian, in October 2015. To walk where Jesus walked and to have the stories of the Bible come alive in such a real way was not only fascinating, but life-changing. Being a political junkie, it also was important for me to learn both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Hands down the highlight? Being re-baptized in the Jordan River!”

“For my wife’s 50th I surprised her with a trip to Parrot Cay In the Turks. We had a villa steps from the ocean. The four days of sun and relaxation were incredible. We loved the privacy and enjoyed each other’s company. The resort was great and the spa was incredible!”

Christine Pullara Newton, Brookhaven, host of NBC’s Atlanta & Company on WXIA-TV

“My husband, Jim and I went to Italy last summer for our 10-year anniversary celebration. We decided on a whim to change the trip up a bit and spent two nights in Positano. Best decision we made! The views, the food, the people… it was truly magical!”

Richie Arpino and Mitchell Anderson

Richie Arpino, owner of The Richie Arpino Salon in Buckhead and his partner Mitchell Anderson, who is the owner of Metrofresh, recently embarked on a vacation to South America, Buenos Aires, and Patagonia to celebrate Richie’s magical birthday and to celebrate their 20 years together. “Buenos Aires was perfect! The food, the wine, the markets with inexpensive leather items, the gracious people, all of that PLUS a side trip to the ski resort in Patagonia. The spectacular views, fun little hidden spots and cafes and the all around pleasant weather and beauty made their first trip to South America a wonderful adventure.”
