Let The Light Shine In 2

The designers at Classic Blinds & Shutters on Main Street believe window treatments are (of course) the most important part of a room’s profile. But, beautiful design is about more than just one element and the Zare family and their team treat the whole room, not just the windows.  Pulling together interiors since 1996, the design pros agreed to share three pretty rooms and explain why they are so pleasing.

Thanks go to Sean Zare and Zack Zare (owners), Andrea Zare (owner/interior designer), Jessica Wade (showroom manager/interior designer), Amy Allen (window covering specialist/interior designer), Terri Ogletree (interior designer) and Adrian Bernabe (Hunter Douglas Certified Installer).

Luxurious Layers

Decorating in layers is a smart way to make a room special with custom drapery, upholstery and rugs.  Chose natural fibers for comfort and use accent colors for a warm, cozy inviting interior.  They chose Hunter Douglas Alustra Duette shades with top down/bottom up option and with the new PowerView motorized option. Motorized shades are huge now. Control them from anywhere with your smart phone, creating your own custom settings with integration capabilities into any Smart Home system. The shades can virtually disappear to bring the outside in. Now, that’s modern! But, don’t be afraid to mix mod with traditional, say the Zares.

Natural Neutrals

There’s something rich and reassuring about natural wood accents.  “We like how natural light looks so pure through these natural wood shutters,” says Andrea Zare.  “Don’t be afraid to mix textures like wood, glass and lush fabric accents.”  The exposed beams can be added to most any ceiling to warm up a space, with accent lighting, plush carpet and comfortable furnishings rounding out the room.  Custom wood shutters can be stained to match any tones or wood pieces and arched designs can be constructed to fit any shaped opening, Andrea promises.

Color Pops

Clean lines, modern accents and pops of color make this room special. The floor to ceiling windows are the icing on the cake, with cool motorized shades setting the scene.  We love the unexpected chandelier and the wall paper that creates a scene around the bed. A custom tile floor lends an urban appeal and the Hunter Douglas Pirouette shade gives a light and airy feeling allowing you to see out when the shade is down and giving you total privacy when it’s closed.
